🔄 Since 2023, Masdar has announced $5.7bn in transactions to acquire renewable assets and platforms in Europe. Initially focusing on offshore wind farms in the UK and Germany, they are now targeting larger platforms.

🌍 These transactions are part of Masdar's strategy to expand its renewable footprint in Europe and the US, aiming for 100 GW of installed capacity by 2030. In Europe, key areas of focus include the southern region, the Balkans, and the eastern side.

💼 The largest deal to date: Masdar acquired a 67% stake in Greece-based Terna Energy for ~$2.3bn. This acquisition provides access to an operational portfolio of ~1.22 GW and a development pipeline of ~11bn. Post-transaction, Masdar plans an all-cash mandatory tender offer for the remaining stake.
